Advertising Checklist
Advertising is regulated by many sources. This checklist will help you comply with regulations in your print advertising – it does not cover online advertising or broadcasting. It is not a definitive list of all regulations to be checked in every case, nor does it cover particular industry rules such as alcohol or tobacco but it sets out the main considerations that will apply to most businesses. The main thing to remember is that advertising will not be judged for what it says - but for what a consumer (or a regulator) thinks it says. Your advertising must not be misleading – this is a criminal offence.
