About

Hello! My name is Suzanne.

I am an ex City business lawyer who wants to enjoy flexibility of working whilst bringing up a young family. Does that sound familiar?

So after 14 years of working for a top City law firm and blue chip companies, I decided to set up my own legal services practice which allows me to work from home and plan my work to fit around my family. As a result of this process, I am passionate about helping other mothers in the same position as me, namely entrepreneurial mums who have decided to set up their own business for the very same reasons. Hence Lawyers4Mumpreneurs was born!

Having been through the process myself, I really understand your requirements in being a mumpreneur – I’m someone who can speak your language, understand your pressures, work flexibly around your working patterns and provide top quality affordable legal advice and business solutions.

I believe I am the only business lawyer in the UK who specialises in mumpreneur businesses and I have an indepth knowledge of the types of issues that are likely to be important to you. Moreover, I have a real interest in your business and in helping you to make it a huge success! So if you need help with your business contracts, terms and conditions or employment contracts and whether you are a start up, a small business, a growing business or an established business, please do get in touch for a no obligation discussion about how I can help you.

I have worked with many inspiring mumpreneurs and have loved every minute of it. I am delighted to have made a difference to their businesses and that they have been so happy with my work. Below are just two testimonials – to see more click here.

Sam Willoughby of What’s on 4 Limited:

“I’m so lucky to have found Suzanne.  Her involvement in our franchising has made all the difference to us making it happen.  Suzanne took the time to understand the business and asked lots of questions to ensure we had considered every business and legal aspect of franchising.  She really understood the pressures of a small business and particularly the juggle of being a parent of a small business.  She delivered as promised, responded very quickly to emails, didn’t confuse us with legal jargon and was very fair and clear with the costs.  After 4 years and 3 other solicitors I have finally found one I can recommend and that I will use again.”

Sian Williams of Baby Friendly Boltholes:

“Suzanne has been a godsend to www.babyfriendlyboltholes.co.uk helping us draw up listing agreements, website terms of use, privacy policy and e-commerce terms and conditions. She offered great advice and turned my ramblings into clear, concise and water tight legal documents all with efficient, friendly, expert and affordable service. Best of all, she’s understanding when multi-tasking means briefings take place with Dora the Explorer background music! I plan to use her services again soon and would recommend her highly.”

Regulation and insurance

I am a qualified solicitor practicing in England and have an up to date Practicing Certificate issued by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). For details of the rules please see www.sra.org.uk/solicitors/code-of-conduct.page. I am a self employed practitioner contracted as a consultant to Virtual Lawyers Limited, a law practice that is regulated by the SRA. I am covered under Virtual Lawyers Limited’s professional indemnity insurance that provides cover up to £5 million. If you instruct me to provide legal advice for you, your Engagement Letter will be with Virtual Law (the trading name of Virtual Lawyers Limited) and I will provide the advice under that engagement.

Hello Suzanne,
I’m impressed by the professionalism of your website. I will keep you in mind for future legal matters and advice. We’ve just launched after a long year of preparation. Consequently, I am new to this and undoubtably will need to turn to right person.
